I started my career as a professional musician and tutor 13 years ago. I have since studied Music at degree level (BMus Hons) and also completed a Post graduate certificate in education (PGCE). I really enjoy teaching and passing on the knowledge I have gained through my years as a working musician. I’ve been told that I teach in a patient, considerate and effective way. I certainly aim for this, and if it’s true then i suspect it comes from being able to remember how tough learning an instrument can sometimes be and how important fun and enjoyment is to keep motivated. This teamed with the teaching skills i have learned both through 13 years experience and completing my PGCE hopefully come together to provide a great tuition service. I’m also fully CRB checked so you can have peace of mind which I know is very important, having two young children myself.
